Bortezomib (Velcade) is among a new class of drugs that have been intensely tested in trials on lymphoma. Mantle Cell Lymphoma (MCL) is an aggressive lymphoma that has extremely poor outcomes after first line treatment with chemotherapy fails. A few months back, a trial using Velcade in previously treated Mantle Cell Lymphoma demonstrated exciting results. Check the blog on exciting results with Velcade in MCL.

Based on these findings, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the US started a priority review and has now granted approval for the use of Velcade in previously treated Mantle Cell Lymphoma. Find out more about Bortezomib (Velcade) in Mantle Cell Lymphoma and its effectiveness in the setting of relapsed or refractory MCL.
