Definition:

Adriamycin (also called doxorubicin - generic name) is a drug used in the treatment of many cancers. It belongs to a family of drugs known as anthracyclines.

Adriamycin is a part of the standard treatment of both Hodgkin and Non-Hodgkin Lymphomas.

Adriamycin is usualy administered in the form of an infusion or a slow intravenous injection.
