Definition: An antiemetic is a drug that reduces or prevents nausea or vomiting. Chemotherapy or radiotherapy for lymphomas can cause nausea and vomiting. Antiemetics are often given before chemotherapy admnistration to prevent vomiting. Several powerful antiemetics are now available. Some are taken as pills, others administered as injections.
