"Apoptosis"

Definition: Apoptosis means programmed cell death. Many cells in our body trigger their own death in certain circumstances. If apoptosis is affected, then the cell will not die. This can give rise to cancers. Sometimes radiation treatment triggers apoptosis within lymphoma cells and lead to their death.
